19 candles

so yesterday was my 19th birthday. fun. don't get me wrong! i had an absolutely amazing day, but i feel like turning 19 isn't anything special except that it means that i didn't die while i was 18.  there are some birthdays that we attach a lot of significance to, like sweet 16, and the big 1-8 and 21 and we're even over the hill at 40, but 19 is kind of a "no big deal" age.  i feel older, but i still don't necessarily feel like an adult.  i'll keep you updated about that as i spend more time actually being 19, cause right now it's only been a few hours.

another new thing for me is that i started college recently.  on the 22nd i will have been here for exactly 1 month, which is crazy! it doesn't seem like a whole month has gone by at all.  time is going by so quickly and i don't want to miss anything!  college is so different than anything i could have imagined and i'm still trying to get the hang of things. 

well i expected this post to be pretty lame and pretty short, so i'll just end it here and let you get on with your life.  i'm hoping to make this a pretty consistant thing and not put it off but i can't make any promises.  i'm also hoping that my posts are less lame in the future.  that depends on how lame my actual life is though.  again, no promises.
